UNOCHA

Official UN Committee

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, or short as UNOCHA is a part of the United Nations Secretariat which coordinates the global emergency response to save lives and protect people all around the world in humanitarian crises. In order to ensure better preparation for, as well as rapid and coherent response to natural disasters and other emergencies, UNOCHA serves as one of the pioneers of humanitarian aid with its broad work. However, OCHA’s mandate remains unlimited as it is being broadened to include coordinating humanitarian response, policy development and humanitarian advocacy within each passing day.
